Buying in bulk is a popular option for individuals and families who have the space to stock up, in
order to save money on meat purchases – as well as appreciating the opportunity of knowing how
their beef was raised and who raised it.
**PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION**
Once your deposit is received and you choose your purchase date, you will then receive an
email 2 weeks prior to your purchase date. This email will direct you to select the cuts you
would like and this information will be provided and coordinated with Curly’s Custom
Meats in Jackson Center. All processing fees will be paid directly to them AT PICKUP.
Your purchase date is when the beef will go in to the butcher. The beef is processed and
dry-aged for 10-14 days. Your final payment to Allen Farms is due when the beef goes into
the butcher. Your processing fees are payable at pickup.
A Half beef (also called a Side of Beef) – Deposit $300
Approx. 350 lbs hanging weight @ $4.50 per lb
Price includes raising & transportation of beef.
Processing is $0.79/lb payable at pickup to Curly’s Custom Meats, Jackson Center, Ohio
(additional fees may apply according to cut sheet pricing)
Everything gets cut and wrapped to your specifications.
Approx. 40% loss through cutting (bones and fat removed)
Example: 350 lbs x $4.50 = $1575.00
350 lbs x 0.4 = 140 lbs loss, meaning your half will be about 210 lbs of meat in the
freezer. This is an estimate. The amount varies depending on cutting instructions.
